Birthday Boy!

Scott turned 33 yesterday! He keeps complaining about how old he feels. He got to choose dinner which was BBQ ribs and mashed potatoes, home canned peaches and Doritos. I threw in a green salad for good measure. He chose German chocolate cake and it turned out cute and delicious.

Much to his dismay I put 33 candles on the cake.  It took him forever to light them and then Natalie blew half of them out so we had to do it again.

My crazy kiddos enjoying their cake

For his birthday I finally framed some of his train posters.  He was pretty excited.  Natalie made him zombies and wrapped a rock for him.  It was so cute. He opened the rock and she said "dad you can do anything with a rock...a rock pet, paint a face on it, make it a lady bug."

I am so grateful for my wonderful Scotty and all the fun that we have together.

What Not to Wear!

Scott was so horrified at my outfit he had to take a picture.  I didn't go out in it I just took the kids to school so it doesn't count as bad style...right?

Spring!

Saturday was beautiful. So we headed out doors and had so much fun.

After lunch and naps we decided to head to the park.  Emma didn't want to get off the swings and spent most of her time there.

We even got Scott to swing.

This is the best picture I could get of Natalie.  The kid refused to look at the camera and stay still, but she was there and she did have a great time.

Malaya is able to do the monkey bars all by herself this year and loves showing off any chance she gets.

We are looking forward to more beautiful weather and more time outside.

St. Patrick's Day

New additions!

So Scott's cousin has chickens and the kids love playing with them and collecting eggs.  So after a year of talking about it we finally decided to get some chicks...well 9 actually. Crazy right? We couldn't decide what type we should get so we got a variety. They will lay blue, green and brown eggs. The kids are in heaven and so am I.  They are so fun to just sit and watch.

They love the thermometer.  They peck at it all day long

Lately...

It has been a busy few months.  Nothing to exciting just everyday life with 4 crazy kids.
The kids got new play dough for Christmas and love creating different things.

This year we decided to make VValentine's for the girls classes.  We did it on a Sunday afternoon when Scott was at the church.
Emma doesn't get a nap on Sundays because of 11:30 church so she didn't last long.

For Valentine's Day my mom took the kids for the weekend and Scott and I went to Salt Lake. It was so much fun.  We stayed at the Little America.  Ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Went swimming and then went to the Natural History Museum.  The whole weekend the only pictures we took were of Scott on the "Hogwarts" stairs at the Museum and of some equipment that Scott built that the museum was using.

Steven has finally taken an interest in potty training! So I was upstairs helping him and I asked the girls to watch Emma.  I came down a few minutes later and there was no sign of the girls just Emma sitting on the kitchen table with a pink nose.
She wasn't thrilled about getting caught.

and then decided to ham it up a little.

Because big brother is spending time on the toilet Emma thinks she should too.

And because Emma got a picture on the toilet Steven needed one too.
 Just because she is cute.
