Wedding Bells!

My sister Lindsey got married on December 15.  They wanted to get married on 12-12-12 but they both had finals that day and the next so the decided to wait until the 15th.  Lindsey married Andrew Peterson who was my brother Jordan's mission companion.  When Jordan got beck from his mission  he said that it would be hard to find someone good enough for Lindsey but that Andrew was the best man he knew.  Andrew hung around the family a lot and he and Linds became great friends.  Then just before she left on her mission they realized that maybe it was more than friendship.  Lindsey left and served a wonderful mission in Taiwan and Andrew went to China to teach English.  She served for 18 months and returned home just in time to say goodbye to our brother Parker as he left for his mission early in September.  Andrew asked her to marry him the day before Halloween and six weeks later they were married.

After the ceremony and a few attempts to get pictures in the freezing cold of Rexburg we went to my parents for pictures and the reception. The kids were a little crazy from all the excitement so sitting still for a picture was a little tough but we finally got some decent pictures.

I was lucky enough to be able to make the cake for them.  They weather was crazy so we didn't get to Rexburg until noon on the day of the wedding and we had to be at the temple by 2:30.  So I recruited everyone that would help to make the little balls around the bottom.  Then my sister-in-law Ashley and my sister Aubrey and my son put them on the cake. Lindsey's friends helped with flowers and in no time at all we had a beautiful and fun cake that totally matched my sister's personality.

Birthdays!

December is Birthday month around here.  Our Sweet Natalie turned 6 on the 3rd.  Natalie is such a sweet girl and I can't believe how fast the time has gone.

Mr. Stevers turned 4 on the 4th.  I was in the early stages of labor at Natalie's 2nd birthday party and I am sure that the kids there will be scarred for life :) Steven is a hoot.  He is always doing crazy dance moves and he is the best hider.
Happy Birthday Kiddos! We are so glad you are in our family.

Trunk or Treat!

This year we decided to do a Lorax theme for Halloween.  The girls wanted to be barbaloots. Steven is Mr. O'hare. I am the Oncler and Scott is the Lorax.  We had a lot of fun!

Scott takes great pride in decorating the truck for the trunk or treat.  He got there 30 min.  before it started and set up.  He even added music this year.  We had several people stop and take pictures.
Happy Halloween!

The unfortunate pumpkin

Our largest pumpkin was destroyed last night. We were pretty bummed when we saw it this morning. As we were getting ready for church Steven(3) came in and said "mommy Jesus should burn them"  I asked him who Jesus should burn and he said that He should burn the person that broke our pumpkin.  Natalie(5) piped up and said that we needed to let the person repent. I totally busted up laughing.  I guess they actually do listen during scripture time.  We were recently reading that Jesus would burn the wicked unless they repent.

Later I heard them talking in the girls room and it was suggested that Uncle Jordan should bring his gun and guard the rest of the pumpkins.

The kids love their pumpkins!

Fall Carnival

The girl's school puts on a fall carnival every year.  This year the kids decided to get their faces painted.
